Landscape bed weed control in the Bear Lake Valley

Northbound sprays flower beds and landscape beds across the Bear Lake Valley as their own service, on roughly a six-week cycle through the growing season. It is not part of the lawn fertilizer program. The price is per visit, scaled to the beds, and large or rural properties are quoted individually.

The beds, on their own schedule.

Standalone spraying for flower beds and landscape beds, on roughly a six-week cycle. Separate from the lawn program, priced by bed size.

  • Separate from the lawn

The four-step lawn program does not treat flower beds. Bed weeds are a different job and a different invoice line.

  • About every six weeks

The working cadence is roughly every six weeks through the growing season, in line with a 5 to 7 week reapplication cycle.

  • Priced by bed size

A small foundation strip and a quarter acre of beds around a lake house are not the same visit. Large or rural properties are quoted on their own.

  • Licensed in both states

Pesticide applicator licensing is held in Utah directly and in Idaho by reciprocity. The same service is legal on both shores.

The lawn program and the irrigation system both leave flower beds alone. A bed full of weeds is a different problem from a lawn full of dandelions, and it needs its own visit.

This service is standalone spraying of flower beds and landscape beds. It is not hand-weeding dressed up as a program, and it is not a reason to put lawn herbicide on ornamental plantings.

The cycle

Professional bed weed control is typically reapplied on a 5 to 7 week cycle during the growing season. This plan uses roughly every six weeks as the working cadence. A property that starts in May and stays on that rhythm gets looked at through the summer, which is the stretch when a rental’s beds are in every arrival photo.

Skip a cycle and the next visit is a heavier one. Say so if the beds have gone a season or two. The first visit is still a visit, and the quote should match what is actually there.

How size changes the price

The plan prices this from a small bed up to a large or heavily landscaped one, and it says to quote large or rural properties individually rather than forcing them into the top of a range. A townhome foundation strip and the beds wrapped around a lake house are not the same afternoon.

You get the number in writing from the address, and from photos if you have them. Most properties can be measured online without a visit; some need a quick look on site first. We do not publish a rate card on this site.

Licensing

Application is the part that has to be legal in the state where the property sits. Licensing is held in Utah directly and in Idaho by reciprocity, so a bed in Garden City and a bed in St. Charles are the same company and the same rules. Application records are kept for every treatment.

The turf program, if you want both, is fertilizer and weed control. Putting the bed visits on the same property as mowing, the lawn program, or irrigation maintenance is how the bundle discount is earned.

Counts toward the recurring bundle: combine two recurring services and the whole bill drops about 10%, three or more 12–13%.

What moves a number

Bed visits run while the weeds are growing.

The bed weed control year at 5,900 feet.

  1. May

First visit once beds are cleaned up enough to see what is coming through.

  2. June to July

The middle of the cycle. This is when a missed visit shows.

  3. August

Another pass before Labor Day traffic on rental properties.

  4. September

A late visit where the beds still have growth. It does not replace the fall lawn winterizer.

Bed weed control across the whole valley

We run bed weed control from Montpelier to Laketown, including the shoreline places between them. Licensed in Idaho and Utah means one company, one standard, and one number, not a referral across the line.

Shoreline rentals show bed weeds in the first photo a guest takes. Inland yards in Paris, Bloomington, and Montpelier have the same weeds and a full-time owner who sees them every week. The spray schedule does not change. Who notices does.

Bed weed control FAQ

Is this included in the lawn fertilizer program?

No. The four-step program covers treated turf. Flower beds and landscape beds are a separate service. The lawn page is [fertilizer and weed control](/services/fertilizer-weed-control/).

How often do beds need it?

Roughly every six weeks through the growing season. The plan uses that as the working cadence inside a typical 5 to 7 week cycle.

How is a visit priced?

By bed size, per visit. A small bed and a large landscaped lake house are not forced onto the same number. Most properties can be measured online and quoted in writing without a visit; some need a quick look on site first. Either way, you get the price in writing before any work happens.

Are you licensed to spray on both sides of the lake?

Yes. Utah licensing is held directly. Idaho is covered by reciprocity.

Does it count toward a bundle?

Yes. Landscape-bed weed control is one of the four recurring lines. Combined with mowing, the lawn program, or irrigation maintenance, it earns the bundle discount. See [property care bundles](/services/property-care-bundles/).

  • Fertilizer & weed control

A four-step program built for Bear Lake's 5,900-foot elevation and short season, plus standalone spraying for flower and landscape beds.

  • Lawn mowing

Weekly recurring only, same day, same standard, all season. We don't do drive-by one-offs, which is exactly why the route runs on time.

  • Property care bundles

Two or more recurring services on one property. About 10% off for two lines, 12 to 13% off for three or more. Built for owners who are not at the lake.
