Irrigation services in Bear Lake Valley

Northbound repairs, maintains, starts up, blows out, and installs irrigation across the Bear Lake Valley, on both sides of the Idaho and Utah line. Each of those jobs has its own page. This one is the overview, plus seasonal maintenance and the backflow rule.

The irrigation work, split into the job you actually need.

Repair, startup, blowouts, installation, and seasonal maintenance. Repairs are hourly with parts itemized.

The line we hold

We replace backflow assemblies. Backflow testing is referred to a certified tester until our own certification is complete.

  • Repairs

Valves, heads, lines, wiring, and controllers. Labor is hourly and parts are listed separately. The full page is sprinkler repair.

  • Spring startup

The system comes up zone by zone, and every head gets looked at while it is running.

  • Fall blowout

Compressed air ahead of freeze risk. Flat price up to 12 zones. Larger systems are quoted in writing.

  • Installation and upgrades

New coverage, added zones, and retrofits of heads, valves, and controllers. No flat install price.

  • Seasonal maintenance

A recurring look through the growing season. This is the line that counts toward the bundle, and the one that catches a stuck valve on an empty cabin.

  • One written price

Most systems can be measured from the address and quoted without a visit. Some need a quick look first.

The separate jobs

  • Sprinkler repair is hourly labor with parts itemized. There is no per-head price.
  • Spring sprinkler startup brings the system up zone by zone and looks at every head while it runs.
  • Sprinkler blowouts are a flat price up to 12 zones, before the October freeze window. Larger systems are quoted in writing.
  • Irrigation installation covers new systems, expansions, and retrofits. There is no flat install price.

Most of those jobs can be measured from the address and quoted in writing without a visit. Some need a quick look on site first. Either way, you get the price in writing before any work happens.

Maintenance, for properties nobody is standing in front of

A recurring maintenance visit through the growing season is the line that pays for itself on an empty property. A stuck valve on an occupied house gets noticed in a day. On a cabin that is empty from Labor Day to Memorial Day, it runs until somebody looks.

Visits are priced per visit on a bi-weekly cadence, and only turn into a repair bill if there is something to repair. Irrigation maintenance is one of the four recurring lines that count toward the bundle discount.

Backflow

We replace backflow assemblies. Testing them is a separate certification we do not hold yet, so testing is referred to a certified tester. That stays on this page until the certification is complete.

How a quote comes together.

  • Hourly

    Repairs, parts itemized

  • Flat

    Blowout, up to 12 zones

  • In writing

Most are measured online. Some need a quick look. The price is in writing first.

Counts toward the recurring bundle: combine two recurring services and the whole bill drops about 10%, three or more 12–13%.

What moves a number

Four moments that decide whether your system survives the winter.

The irrigation year at 5,900 feet.

  1. April to May

Spring startups and post-freeze inspections. This is where winter damage shows up.

  2. May to June

Winter-damage repairs and new installs. The busiest repair stretch of the year.

  3. June to August

Repairs, adjustments, and maintenance visits while the system is under real load.

  4. October to November

Winterization blowouts. The highest-volume, most time-pressured window on the calendar.

Irrigation across the whole valley

We run irrigation from Montpelier to Laketown, including the shoreline places between them. Licensed in Idaho and Utah means one company, one standard, and one number, not a referral across the line.

Systems around this lake fail in ways that are particular to the place: a short shoulder season, hard freezes that arrive early, water drawn from a mix of culinary, secondary, and private sources, and hundreds of properties that sit empty when something lets go.

Irrigation FAQ

Which irrigation page do I need?

Repair, spring startup, blowouts, and installation each have their own page, linked below. Seasonal maintenance and the backflow rule stay on this one.

When should I have my sprinklers blown out?

Before the first hard freeze, which in this valley can arrive in October. Booking early matters more here than in a milder valley because the window is short.

Can you test my backflow assembly?

Not yet. We replace backflow assemblies, but testing is a separate certification we do not hold yet, so it is referred to a certified tester.

Do I have to be home for a quote?

No. Most properties can be measured online and quoted in writing without a visit; some jobs need a quick look on site first. Either way, you get the price in writing before any work happens.

Do you work on both sides of the state line?

Yes. The same company covers Utah and Idaho. Licensing for pesticide work is separate and is stated on the fertilizer page.

  • Sprinkler repair

Valves, heads, lines, wiring, and controllers. Labor is hourly and parts are itemized. No per-head price.

  • Sprinkler blowouts

Compressed-air blowouts before the first hard freeze. Flat price up to 12 zones, and you do not have to be at the property.

  • Spring sprinkler startup

The system comes up zone by zone, every head gets watched while it runs, and winter damage gets found before the first hot week.
