A Bear Lake property-care company, based on the lake, licensed on both sides of it.
Northbound Landscape Services is the customer-facing name of RNK Services, LLC, an owner-operated company based in St. Charles, Idaho. It exists for one kind of customer above all: the person who owns a cabin, a rental or a second home around Bear Lake and is not there most of the time. Six service lines, one calendar, one company, on both shores.

Business operations
Field operations and business operations are split between the two founders. The company is registered in both states, holds pesticide applicator licensing in both, and works six days a week, which matters to owners who can only be at the property on a weekend.
Three things the company is built on.
Reliability over the cheapest price
A fixed day for recurring work, and a route sized to what can actually be delivered rather than to every lead the valley offers. Overselling capacity and then showing up late is the fastest way to lose the trust this company runs on.
Clear communication with owners who are far away
Most of the properties we look after are empty most of the year. You hear what we found, in plain language, without having to chase it.
Full-calendar coverage
Mowing, irrigation, fertilizer, aeration, trimming, cleanup, and snow fill the year, so the same company is here in April that was here in January.
What we do not do, on purpose.
A company that says yes to everything is late to all of it. These are the lines we hold, and why.
- One-time mowing
- Weekly recurring contracts only. A route that stops for one-off cuts starts running late for everyone on it.
- Tree cutting
- Shrubs, low branches, and storm debris on the ground, yes. Standing trees, climbing, and removals, no. String trimming around a lawn is part of a mowing visit.
- Backflow testing
- We replace backflow assemblies. Testing is a separate certification we do not hold yet, so it is referred to a certified tester until we do.
- Published prices
- Most properties can be measured online and quoted in writing without a visit; some jobs need a quick look on site first. Either way, you get the price in writing before any work happens. Lot size, slope, access and condition move a number too much for a rate card to be honest.
Where we work
From Montpelier to Laketown, including the shoreline places between them, from a base in St. Charles. Drive times on the map are real road distances.
